My name is Sharon and I’m a professional travel blogger. I write all about travelling with kids at wheressharon.com. I also run some other sites including one about how I make money from blogging at digitalnomadwannabe.com.

I’m married with three kids, currently 6, 4 and 8 months. We are all travel addicts and travel whenever we can. When we’re not on the road, we live in Melbourne, Australia

You have an unlimited travel budget for 24 hours. Give me your itinerary.

Great question! Assuming I can just appear in NYC and I don’t use all my 24 hours getting there then I would spent 24 hours there living the high life! Penthouse in best hotel, stretch limo, shows, best food, total indulgance 😀

You have won the lottery. Tell me where you want to live.

If it’s a lot of money then NYC (noticing a theme!). Otherwise where I live in Australia already. I love it here although I probably will have to win the lottery to ever afford to buy a house where I love living!!

Your favorite travel resource on the web?

Probably Facebook! Might sound weird but there’s some great groups in there and leveraging other people’s knowledge is powerful.

What is the superpower you most want?

A bank account that never runs out of cash 😀

What’s fuels your passion for travel?

I am an experience junkie. I want to experience everything!! Now I have kids I also love showing them the world and having so many quality experiences with them as we travel. It’s just so hard to have the same type of quality time when we are at home.

Why do you write?

I love sharing the world and showing other people that just because you have kids, doesn’t mean that you can’t travel! In fact, the fun is just getting started.

Do your family and friends support your traveling escapades?

Yes. They know better than to say something if they don’t anyway!

What is the title of the movie about your life?

It’s My Life

What’s on your bucket list?

A lot. The biggest items are North Korea, The Stans, the Trans Siberian and seeing the mountain gorillas in Uganda.

I’m also working on hitting country 100 on my 40th birthday. Not long to go!

Can you imagine life without travel?

No. I tried for awhile when I first had kids as I was under the very misguided perception that you can’t travel with kids. It did not make for a happy Sharon.

If you were not travelling what would you be doing instead?

Building a business, being a mum. All the same things I do when I am travelling.

If you could be transported to one place at one time, what would it be and why?

Anywhere where I could see my dad again. He died suddenly when I was 17.

Single thing you miss most from high school?

Relatively no responsibility. I am the oldest of 5 though so there was still a lot of responsibility!

Do you have any advice or tips for aspiring travellers?

JUST DO IT! Honestly, if you really want to do it you will make it work somehow. You just have to shift your mindset to deciding it will happen.

Your single most treasured personal possession.

It was my toy lamb Fleecie. That toy had come on all our adventures but unfortunately, I lost her in Thailand a few months ago. I’m still getting over it!!

Language you’d most like to be fluent in?

Spanish. I try.

Can you tell us about your next adventure

Off to Malaysia, Hong Kong and Macau at Easter time. We have also just booked South Africa and Mauritius for mid year. I can’t wait!
